Metro Park Station

Project Overview :

This $49 million project constructed new, longer, and wider high-level platforms, stairs, climate-controlled passenger waiting shelters, windscreens, and canopies.

The new platforms can handle up to 12 rail cars, up from 10, and waiting areas on the platform have extended canopies and climate controls. The project also improved existing lighting, communication systems, and signage. Originally intended as a suburban Amtrak Station, Metro Park is now the busiest outlying station in the NJ Transit system.

Approximately 4 million NJ Transit and Amtrak riders use Metro Park Station each year. As subcontractor for Anselmi & DeCicco, Garden State provided settlement monitoring, survey control, track layout and engineering services.
