Plauderville Station

Project Overview :

The new high-level platforms and ramps for the NJ Transit Plauderville Station will allow boarding for persons with disabilities. The platforms were being constructed directly adjacent to the existing parking lot, reducing the walking distance between the parking and the low platform current boarding area.

Teaming with Anselmi & DeCicco, Inc., Garden State worked on the alternate foundation design that replaced the 24″ diameter drilled piers with prefabricated spread footings that allowed for faster construction with less temporary closures. At the same time, steel framing for the outer platforms were adjusted and a 28′ span was used instead of the existing 20′ span, therefore reducing the number of required footings.

Garden State also provided the surveying services for this project.
