Route 120

Project Overview :

Garden State provided engineering and land surveying services for this $18 million bridge reconstruction project, which is approximately 1.1 miles long and will extend from the intersection of Route 120 (Quaker Avenue) and Hunts Place, east along Route 120 to the intersection with Greeley Avenue.

The project replaced a 78-year-old bridge with a wider bridge that includes architectural details similar to those found on the original structure. The new bridge was faced with natural stone masonry and includes pedestrian period lighting. The project also included new curbs and sidewalks along Route 120 (Quaker Avenue), a closed drainage system, improved landscaping, natural stone-faced retaining walls and maintenance paving along Route 120 (Quaker Avenue) from Marcourt Drive to Route 117.

Working closely with Conti of New York, Garden State provided foundation and sheeting design. Garden State also provided horizontal and vertical survey control, monitoring and full construction support survey throughout the entire project duration.
